Open access, clear responsibilities
Usage and licensing
Phishing Army was created to protect individuals from phishing. Its public feeds remain freely accessible, while every user must respect the terms of the independent sources behind them.
Intended purpose
Phishing Army is a non-commercial community project created primarily for personal and individual protection. It aggregates current phishing intelligence, applies a balanced low-false-positive policy and publishes the resulting domain set in several technical formats.
Access to the generated feeds
Phishing Army does not impose an additional restriction on access to or use of its generated feeds by individuals, organizations or commercial services. This applies only to the aggregation, normalization, formatting and other work performed by Phishing Army. It does not grant, transfer or sublicense any rights belonging to the independent upstream data providers.
Responsibilities of organizations and commercial users
The providers listed on the Sources page may apply different conditions to commercial use, redistribution, automation or inclusion in a paid product or service. These conditions can also change over time.
Any company, ISP, VPN provider, DNS service, security vendor or other organization using Phishing Army is solely responsible for reviewing the terms of every upstream source and obtaining any authorization required for its own use case. Phishing Army cannot grant rights over third-party data and does not guarantee that a particular commercial use is permitted by every provider.
Voluntary support
Anyone can support Phishing Army with a donation, tip or recurring contribution. Support from individual users is always welcome. Organizations that use the feeds as part of a product, service or business activity are especially encouraged to contribute.
Every contribution helps cover development, source integration, feed generation, hosting and high-volume distribution.
Support is voluntary. A contribution does not purchase access to the feeds, upstream licensing rights, priority support, a service-level agreement, endorsement or influence over blocking decisions.
Software source code
The Phishing Army generator source code is publicly available on GitHub under the GNU General Public License version 3. The terms for the software do not replace or override the conditions attached to upstream intelligence data.
No warranty or service commitment
The feeds are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of accuracy, completeness, availability or fitness for a particular purpose. Phishing Army is a community project and does not provide a commercial support SLA.
